Line 44 Aging Bottle

For all the distillers out there, we have a sample of an innovative product produced right here in NZ. I’m looking for thoughts and level of interest in this. It’s a stainless steel aging bottle 3L with a charred wood base.

Many small batch systems on the market rely on infusion of wood character to influence flavour and aroma, without the necessary micro-oxygenation essential for real aging, or the wood surface area to liquid volume ratio is such that excessive oaking occurs. This composite aging bottle, elegantly constructed from stainless steel and a charred wood base, has been designed to have an optimal liquid volume to wood surface area ratio, allowing the micro-oxygenation and exposure to wood necessary for true aging to take place, while simultaneously ensuring that no “over-oaking” or excessive tannin exposure happens over the aging period, but still achieving a pleasant vanilla and oak influence.
