Juniper Berries 100g

Juniper is the main flavour associated with gin — in fact, to be legally called a gin, it must have juniper as the dominant flavour and aroma.
Juniper berries are not actually berries but rather the cone of a juniper tree (a type of conifer). They are one of very few edible products obtained from conifers.
In gin production, the ripe, purple berries of juniper are used, either whole or they can be milled or gently crushed to release more oils.
