In the beer dispensing industry the 5/8″ BSP thread is widely used throughout all fittings such as keg couplers, beer tap shanks and many other fittings.

With that said, 5/8″ BSP threads are rarely used elsewhere so this adaptor changes the 5/8 inch thread to the common 1/2″ BSP thread that you will be able to use on a wide rage of plumbing fittings from the hardware store. This adaptor has female 5/8″ BSP on one side (so you can screw it onto keg couplers as shown left or tap shanks) and on the other side it has 1/2 ” BSP.
